Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Artist to join our fast-paced food service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing fresh sandwiches, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, POS systems, and customer engagement within a dynamic quick-service restaurant setting. Prior experience in food service, retail, or the food industry is preferred but not required. The position emphasizes teamwork, time management, and attention to food safety standards to ensure a positive dining experience for all customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sandwiches and other menu items according to company standards and recipes
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations through upselling techniques
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, including food prep areas, dining spaces, and equipment
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations
- Restock supplies, ingredients, and utensils as needed throughout shifts
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining overall restaurant cleanliness
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
- Support team members in various tasks to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cashiering, or customer service within a quick service or fast-food environment is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during peak hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales upselling, and retail math calculations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience working in restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, or retail settings is advantageous
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending or lifting light loads
