Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, and shift management to ensure smooth service flow.
- Supervise food preparation and kitchen activities to uphold quality standards, food safety, and cleanliness.
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food and beverage costs to meet budget targets.
- Lead staff training and development initiatives, including interviewing, onboarding new team members, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Operate POS systems such as Toast for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Enforce health and safety regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols.
- Collaborate with management on marketing efforts, event planning (including banquets or catering), and special promotions to boost sales.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within quick service, casual dining, or fine dining environments.
- knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary processes
- Familiarity with POS systems; experience with cash handling is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through training, coaching, and supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills with experience in inventory control, budgeting, and food safety compliance.
- Background in hospitality management with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in the food industry is highly preferred.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of quality.
