The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving commercial growth by defining and executing the company’s commercial strategy for the US market in alignment with Group priorities. This role focuses on managing and expanding the customer portfolio, with emphasis on developing strategic key accounts and unlocking new market segments. The manager will implement a structured and analytical approach to prospecting, pipeline development, and the evaluation of innovation opportunities to support sustainable business expansion.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Identify, prioritize, and pursue new business opportunities in target markets.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve growth objectives.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Build a robust pipeline of qualified prospects using networking, outreach, and lead?generation efforts.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and closing.
- Present proposals and product/service solutions tailored to client needs.
- Track key metrics and prepare regular performance reports for leadership.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Finance, Operations) to ensure seamless client onboarding.
- Establish and maintain long?term relationships with clients and key decision?makers.
- Business plans are annually defined by Sales Director.
- Maintain a deep understanding of customer challenges and position solutions effectively.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Provide feedback to product and service teams based on customer insights.
