Relationship Alchemy
- Build and maintain direct relationships with retail buyers and category managers at regional and independent retailers
- Manage distributor partnerships to ensure product availability, accurate pricing, and strong retailer sell-through while maintaining direct relationships with retail buyers and category managers
- Navigate the retailer-distributor dynamic to drive placement, alignment, and mutual growth
- Lead customer meetings and presentations independently and alongside Sales Director
- Ensure accurate, timely onboarding and account setup for new partnerships
- Coordinate product placement, merchandising, and promotional activities that drive mutual success
Revenue with Purpose
- Maintain comprehensive CRM management and generate weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable insights comparing planned vs actual results
- Analyze account trends and provide strategic recommendations to Sales Director
- Lead pricing strategy development by defining price per SKU per account, preparing proposals, and drafting negotiation positions with Sales Director guidance
- Monitor competitive landscape and coordinate pricing communications across accounts
Integrated Demand Planning & Supply Orchestration
- Own account-level demand planning through daily sales call participation, reviewing demand vs supply dynamics
- Maintain accurate retail demand forecasts by account and crop with proactive supply chain communication
- Collaborate with Sales Director and supply chain teams to build comprehensive 2026 retail demand forecasts, ensuring retail insights directly inform supply planning
- Coordinate crop availability confirmation and constraint anticipation while monitoring actual sales performance to identify growth opportunities
Customer Marketing Collaboration
- Execute product launches and promotional campaigns by coordinating internal and customer teams for successful market entry
- Partner with dedicated Marketing team member on retailer-specific activations, including events, in-store signage, and social media initiatives
- Participate in weekly customer marketing meetings, ensuring retail sales alignment
- Support promotional material coordination, point-of-sale display management, and brand storytelling initiatives
Industry Leadership & 2026 Strategic Positioning
- Represent Row 7 at key retail trade shows, industry events, and retail-focused conferences
- Follow up on trade show leads and coordinate relationship development
- Leverage demand forecasts and retail insights to shape 2026 account pitches and promotional strategies
- Develop account-specific pitch decks in partnership with Sales Director
- Contribute to price negotiations and contract discussions
- Support new account onboarding processes and create strategic expansion plans for existing partnerships
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE
Retail Experience: 3-5 years of proven success in food/CPG sales with direct experience managing both retailer and distributor relationships in an indirect sales model.
Core Skills: Strong understanding of retail buying processes, promotional planning, and category management, combined with excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Technical Proficiency: Expert-level CRM systems, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office skills with detail-oriented organizational and project management capabilities
Work Style: Comfortable taking initiative identifying gaps, building solutions, and owning results and thrive in the pace of a high-growth environment.
Advanced Skills: Demand planning, sales forecasting, and trade spend management experience, combined with trade show coordination and retail marketing activation familiarity (in-store
THE TEAM
This role is part of a high-growth sales team led by our Director of Sales. You'll work closely with a Sales Manager who owns foodservice and online channels, a Sales Associate focused on direct retail execution and analytics, and a Sales Coordinator who supports all accounts with order management, onboarding, and supply chain coordination.
DETAILS
- Retail Sales Manager position is a full-time, exempt role and reports to ROW 7’s Sales Director
- This position follows a remote or distributed work model within the United States
- Travel within the United States (20%).
- The target pay range for this role is from $95,000 - $115,000 per year
